WIP Wednesday 28 September 2016

Well, this week went better than I thought. I was determined to give poor teddy sweater some love this weekend. He had been languishing here for a couple of weeks,

so on the weekend I pulled him out and got to here.

Collar and shoulder seams done with sleeves pinned on and ready for sewing. And I thought that would be it. BUT, I managed to make it to Knitting Group at the Seniors' Centre yesterday morning and TA DA, I have a finish!

Just need to give it to Cynthia and Orin will be toasty warm on cool days.

Then I found a couple of hours to spent on Halloween Bunny who went from here

to here.

The upper photo has the better fabric colour. So, all in all, I'm pleased with my week.

Late IHSW and WIP Wednesday 21 September 2016

Well, IHSW did not go as planned (why I plan at all I wonder some days) but I did get in a few hours so the masked bunny went from

to this.

Looking a little bit more like Halloween.

But poor teddy is languishing exactly where I left him last IHSW.

I've got to get the lead out - days are getting cooler and Orin, or more properly Orin's grandmother, is going to want to have this on hand just in case.

WIP Wednesday 7 September 2016

And we're here again! This will be a very short post this week. Santa/elf was here last week

and I'm pleased to say "IT'S A FINISH"!

Such sexy leggings!

I have started a new project, but it's a gift so there will be no sneak peaks I'm afraid.

And poor teddy has had no love again. I was hoping to work on him over the long weekend but there was not one moment to craft. Must get more organised, must get more organised, must get . . . . .

WIP Wednesday 31 August 2016

Last WIP Wednesday in August - how did that happen? It's going to be a short one this week. Poor teddy got no attention at all, but Santa/elf went from here

to here.

Remember I showed you Snowy last week being helpful?

Well, Saturday night I went to Cynthia's for a craft night and look what happened there.

I don't know if Pepper thought it was his responsibility to uphold the traditions of catdom or he was mad because his human was crocheting dishcloths from a pattern in her head, so there was nothing for him to lie on. I can't win!

IHSW August 2016

It was IHSW this weekend (and I forgot to post Friday evening - sorry!) and I managed to get a bit done. That's in spite of my helper(??)!

The sweater was here when the weekend started

and the front is now finished!!

Now comes what I call the icky bits, adding the collar and doing the seams.

Santa/elf was here

and is here now.

Not a lot of growth, but every little bit helps, right?

WIP Wednesday 17 August 2016

It's Wednesday again! How does it happen so soon?

I got in some needle time, so I was pleased. I want more of course, but what else is new? Last week the sweater was here

and this week it's here.

I only have 2 more rows until I start shaping the neck, but I took some of my knitting time to turn this

into this.

Makes me feel much better if nothing else.

Santa/elf didn't get a lot of love, but he went from here

to here.

Second arm and hand to come!

WIP Wednesday 10 August 2016

Well, I finally started feeling better this past weekend so there was a bit of stitching which made me feel SO much better. Here's where I got to.

Last week the sweater was here

and this week teddy has his 4th paw and about half his head.

Sorry his head looks so scrunched, but if I smooth it out the stitches fall off the end of the needle and that will not do at all.

Last week Santa/elf was here

and this week he has the beginning of a torso.

Felt good to have a needle, any needle, in my hand again.

WIP Wednesday 27 July 2016

I know, I know, I'm 2 weeks behind, but I've been sick, sick SICK and I'm still coughing, hacking and blowing my nose what feels like every 20 seconds. Really tired of living on soup (which I normally love) and Buckley's (which I have never loved) but it works the best for me. I haven't even done much stitching! However, enough moaning and I'll show you what I have managed to do.

The last time you saw Orin's sweater it was here

and it is now here.

Sorry, not the best picture, but teddy just needs the rest of paw #4 and his head, then I can shape the neck and finish the front.

Santa/elf was here the last time I posted

made it to here last week

and is here now.

I can start his body as soon as I stop coughing!

WIP Wednesday 6 July 2016

Pretty much a bust on the craft front this week. The sweater is still here

exactly where it was last week and Santa/elf has only gone from here

to here.

On the plus side, there were some visitors as I stepped outside my building Monday morning.

Frankly I think they must have had a rough weekend because neither of them so much as blinked as I went by.

WIP Wednesday 29 June 2016

Well, the knitting went better than the cross stitching this week, but life is really busy for some reason at the moment, so I'll take what I can get. The sweater was here last week

and is here at the moment.

We have feet! And the maple leaf is started.

Santa/elf was here

and has gotten this far.

Sort of a vague promise there will be a face.

I'm getting a little annoyed that the fabric is never the right colour - it's a green, honest, cross my heart!

WIP Wednesday 22 June 2016

It's been a busy week on the non-crafting side of my life, but I still got in some needle time. Orin's sweater went from here

to here.

Teddy has the beginning of feet!

And my third Santa/elf went from not started to here.

We have a hat.

How has your week been?

WIP Wednesday 15 June 2016

It's been half a good week. Yesterday I had to go to Terrace (city closest to us, about an hour and a half away) to get my eyes checked, so I missed my knitting group, which means Orin's sweater is still sitting here

waiting for me to start the pattern. On the plus side, my eyes are healthy and I didn't need to change the lenses in my glasses, which makes me doubly happy.

Santa/elf has gone from here

to finished!

I'm going to use the same fabric for the last one of the set, but haven't got a stitch in him yet.
