WIP Wednesday 7 December 2016

Well it happened this weekend - Mother Nature decided to remind us west coasters that it was winter and blessed us with this.

And it wasn't any better looking up the hill.

And from then until at least next Friday we are going to be in minus temperatures, so brrrr. However, it does make for good stitching weather. The rug went from here

to TA-DA, a finish!

Now I just need to bind the excess canvas underneath and it can be off to its new home.

And Retirement didn't get totally ignored, going from here

to here.

As you can see, the hoop got moved again. There's a little wagon and another bee to be added in, then finish the border so the back stitching can begin.

Congratulations on finishing the rug! It looks really nice. And retirement will be finished soon, too.

Since I'm in southern California, I enjoy what little time I get to spend in the snow. I'm sure I'd get tired of it after awhile though.

Oh yay, you finished it in plenty of time to bind it and mail it! I bet your friend is going to be so excited when she sees it! Retirement is looking good too.

YUCK - white stuff! I am sooo glad we don't get that here and if we do it melts instantly!

It's a winter wonderland! We got snow in Montreal as well but you can still see the grass as it hasn't pilled up just yet. Congrats on finishing your rug and right on time :)
