I've Been Spoiled!

Yes I have indeed. Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching has been working on a Nora Corbett design called Little Snowy Gray Cottage that I just loved and she generously offered to send the chart to me. The design and a card of Rainbow Gallery's Arctic Rays floss have just arrived

along with this bright and cheery card.

And then out of the blue Kate from The Suddenly Kate Show sends me a RAK of one of Randall Spangler's dragons from Heaven and Earth Designs - A Little Bit of Magic.

This has been on my wishlist for a long time, so it was a very pleasant shock.

Kate and Jo, thank you both. You have made my week!

It's WIP Wednesday!

Not a whole lot of stitching time this week, but I think I made good use of the time I had.

Where I was last week:

and here's where I am this week - the hearts are charted to have no stitching.

Once I get the top border finished I want to add the next row of words.

WIP Wednesday - First Of 2015

Well, not a lot of progress since Sunday, but I have managed to put a few stitches in "Pack of Cards".

This is where I picked it up again on Sunday:

And here I am after a couple of stitching hours yesterday.

I'm hoping to alternate between the border and the words just so I don't get bored.

2015 First Finish!

And the towel is finally done! I thought I had finished it Friday night, but as I was putting it away I realized I had forgotten all the backstitch bubbles. And as it was then midnight, I just said some rude words and went to bed. LOL

So here it is, REALLY finished this time.

Now I just need to wrap it up and get it to baby Orin.

And what's next? Well, this will be my "take with me" piece

and this will be my "at home" piece - my oldest UFO which just has to be finished this year.

Terrible lighting, sorry!

IHSW For July Is Done

Well, it's been a good stitching weekend. Managed to get some stitches in both my projects, in spite of having to work on Saturday.

This is Project 1 on Friday evening (this one is a truer picture of the fabric colour):

and this is where I left it Sunday night.

And this is Project 2 Friday night:

and this is what it looked like Sunday night.

Now I can't wait to go blog hopping and see what everyone else has done!
