TUSAL and Some Finishes

Almost missed TUSAL day!

Here are my ORTs for this month.

And my ORTs to date.

And I have two proper finishes.

She may get a face - I'm still debating with myself.

And there was a visitor when I got back from my walk this afternoon.

Busy Wednesday

First and foremost, it's Remembrance Day, a day to stop and remember the men and women who have served and the families that supported them. In my family, my mother served in WW2, her father served in WW1. My dad tried to enlist for WW2, was rejected - heart murmur I believe - so he went to Vancouver and built ships as his contribution to the war effort. But all 5 of his brothers served in one branch of the service or another. We were very lucky - everyone came home and got to go on with their lives. Canada would not be what it is today without them.

And it's WIP Wednesday!

Last week I was here - for the Christmas Ornie SAL I belong to

and got to here last night.

Not fully finished because everything I need to do that is in one of those boxes marked "Crafts" that isn't unpacked yet.

Also got a start on the next one which is really October's theme as I'm a month behind because of my move.

And it's TUSAL day as well.

This is what I've collected since my last post in August

(not much stitching time as you can tell) and here are my ORTs to date.

Have a very special day everyone!

It's TUSAL Time

Another new moon and time to show off our thread ends or ORTs as we call them. Why are we doing this? Check out DaffyCat's blog and see.

My ORTs this month.

Most of the threads came from this

and a few from this.

To date, my ORT box looks like this.

And that's it until the next new moon!

It's TUSAL Time!

And I almost forgot. Here's this month's threads.

Again, it seems a pitiful amount for the stitching I've been doing. But I am making progress, so that's a good thing.

And here's the year to date.

And here's what they came from.

And why am I showing off bits of threads? Wander over to Daffycat's blog and find out all about it.

TUSAL June 2015

It's the new moon, so time to post pictures of thread ends. What? And why? Well, go over to DaffyCat's blog and find out why a lot of people are showing off bits of thread and floss.

Here's this month's ORTs.

I'm still working away at my stop and start stitching, so not a lot of ends again.

And here are my all my year's ORTs, so far.

See you all at the next new moon!

It's TUSAL Time!

Am I the only country music fan who hears Don Williams singing "Living on Tulsa Time" every time you write or read TUSAL time?

And what is TUSAL? It's the Totally Useless Stitch A Long - check out Daffy Cat's blog to see why I'm posting pictures of thread ends.

Here are my ORTS for May.

What!! Didn't I do any stitching? Well, not a lot to be honest, but more than this looks like. A lot of what I did was confetti stitching, so I didn't very often get to a thread end. 1 stitch here, 3 stitches there - takes a long time to reach the end of a length of floss.

And here's what my ORT container looks like with all this year's bits.

Happy stitching everyone - see you at the next new moon!

It's The New Moon, So

It's TUSAL time. The time we show off all our thread ends from whatever we've been stitching on for the past month. This fun, Totally Useless SAL is hosted by It's Daffy Cat. Go see what it's all about.

My April ORTs

and my ORTs for the year so far.

Off to see what can be collected by the next new moon,

It's TUSAL Time!

Huh, what am I talking about? Go to Daffycat's blog and check it out.

My ORT pile doesn't look very big for a month,

but those little threads do include a finish!

And this is all of 2015 in it's holder.

It's A Double Post Day - TUSAL And WIP Wednesday

First, it's TUSAL day! What's TUSAL? I'm glad you asked. Check out It's Daffycat's blog and see what all the fun and silliness is about. So, here's my ORT collection for February.

And it's also WIP Wednesday. I managed to get a few stitches into Pack of Cards and Purrfect this week - and the frog kept his distance.

Pack of Cards, Feb 3.

Feb 17.

Started the next line of the saying - and a new colour!

Purrfect, Feb 3.

Feb 17.

This week I hope to get the line on Pack of Cards finished - and maybe start the bottom row of hearts, work on my PM chart at least enough to meet this month's challenge goal and show some love to the Wedding Sampler. I'd cross my fingers, but it's hard to stitch that way.

TUSAL January 2015

What is TUSAL? It stands for Totally Useless SAL and it happens every new moon when we post pictures of that month's ORTS. Interested in learning a bit more? Check out It's Daffycat.

Here are my ORTS for January.

I must have been very cheap with my ends, because that doesn't really seem to represent my month's stitching (or maybe I'm having delusions about my stitching time!!). I've been working on these two projects.

How's everyone else doing?
